As Front End Developer, you will be responsible for the front-end design and solution of workpal ensuring a well-designed user interface.

We’re looking for someone who is experienced across ReactJS, NextJS and Javascript as well as a strong understanding of UX/UI design principles.

You will be a strong team player, have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving ability, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and eager to learn and develop.

your responsibilities

  • Take low-fi designs and implement into highly responsive/interactive pages.
  • Interface/Understand RESTful APIs and full HTTP Request/Response lifecycle.
  • Write unit tests using JEST.
  • Write acceptance tests using Cypress.
  • Work with back-end developers on API requirements, data structures, etc.
  • Work within a team of developers in an Agile environment taking part in Agile ceremonies.
  • Source Control using GIT and perform Pull Request Code Reviews.
  • Learn and maintain current sites developed in ReactJS/NextJS
  • Maintain Atlassian JIRA tickets as tickets progress

about you

  • Front end development expertise in a commercial team environment.
  • Good experience of building in ReactJS.
  • Commercial experience of Javascript, ReactJS and NextJS.
  • Commercial experience of Tailwind UI/CSS.
  • Commercial unit/integration testing experience.
  • Experienced and strong understanding of UX/UI principles.
  • Hands-on experience of full project life cycle from initial analysis and design through to coding, testing, and maintenance
  • Desirable:
    • Knowledge of Cypress for acceptance testing
    • Knowledge of JEST for unit/integration testing
    • Mobile knowledge using CapacitorJS
  • Resilient and organised, able to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Innovative, pragmatic, self-managed, strong communicator and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Eager to learn and study and keeps up to date on latest developments in software.
